Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use DevBenchr (devbenchr.com). The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't store what you type into our tools, and ads are only personalised if you agree to it.

Who is responsible

DevBenchr is run by Codebit, Copenhagen, Denmark, which is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at info@codebit.dk.

What DevBenchr processes

• Everything you paste into the tools (JSON, text, URLs, CSV, tokens) is processed in your browser. It is never sent to our server, logged or stored.

We don't sell data, we don't build profiles, and we don't use your input for anything other than answering your request.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel's servers receive technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Vercel uses this to deliver the site and protect it against abuse, and keeps it only for a short time. We don't use these logs to identify visitors. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page address (without anything after a ? or #, so nothing you enter in a tool is included), the referring website, your approximate location, and your browser, operating system and device type. Visitors are not identified: instead of an IP address, Vercel uses a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and we only ever see totals. Advertising

DevBenchr is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, ads are only personalised if you give your consent. If you don't, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads.

Your consent choices

We use Google's consent management platform, which is certified under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, to ask for and store your choices. Your choice is saved in a cookie on your device so we don't have to ask again on every visit. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a "Privacy settings" link in the footer lets you change your mind at any time.

Legal basis

• Serving the site and keeping it secure: our legitimate interest in running a working, safe website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Processing needed to answer a request you make in a tool: our legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Anonymous visitor statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful so we can improve them (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Advertising cookies and personalised ads: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

International transfers

Vercel and Google may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Both rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect such transfers.

How long data is kept

We don't keep any data from our tools. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a short period for operations and security. Visitor statistics are kept only as anonymous totals. Advertising and consent cookies are kept for the periods described in the cookie policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't store data about you, there is usually nothing for us to hand over or delete, but we are happy to help: write to info@codebit.dk.

You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, or the data protection authority where you live.

Children

DevBenchr is a general audience tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
